Sitzmark Ski Club of Milwaukee Inc, founded in 1965, is a ski, recreational and social organization, providing fun and affordable activities for its members who are adults, 21 and over, from Southeastern Wisconsin and beyond.

The Club exists to develop and promote exciting, new events in a spirit of camaraderie among current and new friends with common interests.

       Year-end Member Meeting:  Thursday May 14th, 2026 at Meyer's Restaurant 4260 S 76th St, Milwaukee. Doors open at 5pm and dinner at 6pm $30. See Event page for details.

    This social event has been one of the Sitzmarks favorites for at least 5 years - so much fun - join us if you can!  You don’t need to be a pro in duckpin bowling – just do it and have fun – we usually have 2 teams – it is optional if you don’t want to give it a try.  The Thirsty Duck offers a variety of menu from soup to appetizers, sandwiches, salads and more!    Hope to see you then!

    It's time to do it again, our stretch of the Highway needs to be cleaned up!  It is a fun way for everyone to volunteer to help our environment. Plastic bags and vests are provided.  Bring your own gloves and masks if desired. Refreshments to follow at Studz and Pub.

    Location for cleanup:  O'Connor St which is the frontage rd. North side of Interstate Hwy 94 from 68th to 84th St.

    Join fellow Sitzmarkers Sunday, May 31st, rain or shine, for the UPAF Ride for the Arts. This is a beautiful 20 mile ride over the Hoan Bridge to Layton Ave then back across the Hoan Bridge along Lake Drive.  We go to Lincoln Memorial and then head back to the Summerfest grounds for entertainment and refreshments.  We will head to lunch after.

    Register online asap and feel free to raise as much money as you desire. We are not registered as a team.

    We are doing the Hoan loop starting at the Summerfest grounds.  Free parking in lots P & H, south end of Summerfest on Erie Street.  Take exit 1F off 794 and follow south.  We'll meet at the Summerfest entrance sign at 7:30 am sharp. Please allow time to get your bike ready, etc...  Don't be late!! We will be riding by 8:00 am.  The route closes at 11 am.

    With registration you will receive a durable Bike Bib to display on your bike. This is your “ticket” to the Hoan Loop Course and Arts Path. You will also receive a limited edition 2023 Ride for the Arts T-shirt.

    Tour a historic theater actor and actress home in Genesee Depot.  Ten Chimneys is the estate lovingly created by Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontane.  With no ropes and nothing under glass, guests are treated to a VIP guided tour.

    The Full Estate Tour provides the optimum Ten Chimneys experience.  This tour includes the 3-story Main House, the rustic Studio, the Enchanting Cottage, the restored gardens, and the exteriors of the Pool House, Greenhouse and Creamery.  Guests should allow two (2) hours, including a shuttle ride to and from the estate.  In addition, all exhibits in the Program Center are for your viewing, along with the movie the Lunts starred in, "The Guardsman".

    We are going to try a new State Forest campsite this year.  We have the group campsite at Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers, WI.  This is right on Lake Michigan just north of Manitowoc.  As the State group campsite costs have doubled we have raised the camping fee costs a bit - but they are still reasonable.  You are on your own for food, beverages, and the vehicle pass.  We will plan to do our traditional potluck on Saturday night.

    Check-in: Fri 3:00 pm; Check-out Sun 1:00 pm  

    Trip fee: $30 member; $40 nonmember - payment must be received by May 22,2026.

    Door County Camping Trip

    Thursday August 6th through Sunday August 9th, we have the Meadow group site reserved! This is the trip of the summer, just ask anyone who has joined us in the past. Don’t miss it!

    Organized events:

    Thursday: Campsite set up begins at 3:00 pm.  Husby's in Sister Bay:  Happy hour/Dinner/Drinks at 6:00 pm.

    Friday: 10:00 am Morning Bike Ride through park.  Open activities at Nicolet Beach, Noon - ?

    Friday night Fish Fry at Sister Bay Bowl - meet at 4:30 pm.  We all need to be there so we can sit together.  I need a head count, so please text me at 262-622-1950.  Sunset meetup TBD (anyone have ideas???

    Camp Fire: Please bring wood fire starters.  Snacks and Smores will be provided.

    Saturday:  10:00 am - Kayaking - Meet at Nicolet Beach (weather permitting) Day at the beach Nicolet Bay.  Group Dinner:  Bring a dish to pass, appetizers and desserts. Make main dish on own.  8:00 pm Hike Eagle Tower for sunset.  Campfire stories.

    Sunday:  Close up camp by noon.

    The cost is $27 member and $32 non-member before July 17, 2026 and $35 member and $40 non-member after until the trip is full. For non-campers the cost is $15 member and $20 non-member.  Includes: campsite and all events above except fish fry and rentals.
